In accordance with Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 27 April 2016, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), the express consent of the user is required before non-essential cookies are used on this website.

What are cookies?

Cookies and other similar technologies (such as local shared objects, pixels, or local storage) are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, and to ensure a website works correctly.

Using these devices, the web server can remember certain data about you, such as your display preferences, your session, or the language you chose, so it doesn't have to ask again on your next visit.

Cookies affected by the regulation, and exempt cookies

Under EU rules, cookies that require the user's informed consent are analytics, advertising and affiliation cookies. Technical cookies, and any cookie strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested, are exempt from this requirement.

Types of cookies

By purpose

  • Technical and functional cookies: Allow the user to navigate a website, platform or application and use the different options or services available on it (for example, keeping a session open).
  • Analytics cookies: Allow the party responsible for them to monitor and analyse the behaviour of users, in order to measure activity and improve the service based on that usage data.
  • Advertising cookies: Allow the management of advertising spaces based on criteria such as the content shown or the frequency ads are displayed.
  • Behavioural advertising cookies: Collect information about a user's preferences to allow more efficient management of advertising spaces (retargeting).
  • Social media cookies: Set by social networks so content can be shared with your contacts; the social network can track your activity outside the site.
  • Affiliate cookies: Allow tracking of visits arriving from other websites with which an affiliation contract has been established.
  • Security cookies: Store encrypted information to prevent the data they hold from being exposed to third-party attacks.

By ownership

  • First-party cookies: Sent to your device from a domain managed by Surphase Console, which directly provides the service you requested.
  • Third-party cookies: Sent to your device from a domain not managed by Surphase Console, but by another entity that processes the data collected.

By storage period

  • Session cookies: Collect and store data only while you are using the site; they are deleted when you close your browser or log out.
  • Persistent cookies: Remain stored on your device and can be read for a period defined by the party responsible for them, from a few minutes to several years.

Surphase Console only uses technical/functional cookies and analytics cookies. It does not use advertising, behavioural advertising, social media, or affiliate cookies.
